Accessibility

We want a parent to be able to find a class, understand what it costs, and ask for a place — whether they are using a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, or a phone held at arm's length in bright sun. This page says where we are, plainly.

What we are aiming at

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That standard includes everything in WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which is the one most commonly referenced in the United States.

What works today

A skip link, so a keyboard user can jump the navigation on every page.
The whole booking flow works from the keyboard — focus stays inside the dialog, Escape closes it, and focus returns to the button you opened it from.
Every form field has a real label, an autofill hint, and errors that say how to fix them.
A visible focus outline on every link, button, and field.
The background video on the home page can be paused, and it does not play at all if your device is set to reduce motion.
Text and controls are checked against the required contrast ratios.

What we know is not right yet

Being honest is more useful than claiming conformance we have not finished proving:

Some small print — a few labels and badges — is still below our own 16px target on mobile, and we are working through it.
Some tap targets in the header and footer are smaller than the 44px we want everywhere.
We have not yet had an independent audit. When we do, we will say so here.

We do not use an accessibility overlay or widget. Those do not fix the underlying page, and we would rather fix the page.

If any part of this site gets in your way, email support@lagunabeachtennisacademy.com or call (949) 534-0457. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will answer within one working day. If it is stopping you enrolling a player, call and we will simply do it with you over the phone — no problem.

Registration and payment run through the City of Laguna Beach's system, which we do not control. If you hit a barrier there, tell us anyway — we will help you finish, and we will raise it with the City.
