One free start per player, and you choose — a thirty-minute placement session with a coach, open to anyone, or one full group class free if you live in Laguna Beach. The best way to understand how we coach is to step on court.

Why start here
Booking a trial lets us see your level, hear your goals, and point you to the right program — for you or your child.
The free one is booked at the City too.
It still costs nothing. The City runs registration for every session on our courts, so there is one short step between this form and a racquet in someone's hand — and we would rather you heard it from us.
You book it at the City
Every LBTA session runs through Rec1 — including the one that costs nothing. Look for the listing named “LBTA - Free One Day Trial”, at $0. You are not paying for anything: you are making a City account and signing the waiver, which is what lets a coach put someone on a court.
We place the player, not a slot
The City’s own listing ends “LBTA will contact you to schedule your session based on age and experience level” — which is exactly why the form above asks for both. A coach reads them before anyone is put in a group.
The City tells us the moment you are in. We confirm your days, your court and your coach before the first session.

Junior programs, from a first racquet to competitive play.
Little Tennis Stars, Foundation Hour and the Academy Block are all open as a first session. Tell us where your child is now, and the coach taking that class will place them on the day — and if there is a coach you want, say so on the form.
Private coaching or group play — one session tells you which.
Adult classes are open as a free first session for Laguna Beach families. For private coaching, start with the free thirty-minute placement session.
If there is a coach you want, say so on the form. We will do our best to make it work, and if their schedule will not take it we will tell you rather than quietly put you somewhere else.
