For Orange County families
Junior tennis development in Orange County — a real path, not just a class.
From a first racquet at age three to college-track training, LBTA develops junior players on the coast in Laguna Beach. Movement first, small groups, and a written read on your player's progress every month.
What it looks like
- A pathway from ages three and up — a coach places by what a player can do
- Movement-first method: read, decide, move, execute
- Small groups, so development actually transfers
- A monthly Player Progress Brief a parent can read
The method
We coach movement first — footwork and balance before stroke mechanics — because a shot is only as good as the position that made it.
Questions, answered.
- What ages do you develop?
- From age three through college-track juniors. Age bands are a guide; a coach places each player by what they can do, so a beginner and a tournament player are never on the same line.
- Where are you relative to Orange County?
- LBTA trains in Laguna Beach — about forty minutes from most of Orange County, close enough to come back every week and keep the same coach.
- How do you track a junior's progress?
- Every month, the coach who was on the court writes a one-page Player Progress Brief — movement, ball control, point construction, competition behavior, and the next focus.
- How do we start?
- Book a free thirty-minute placement session — open to anyone, resident or not. We'll get your player on court and recommend the right class. Laguna Beach families can take a full class free instead; it is one or the other.
