Sixteen weeks, from 31 August. No closures — we run straight through Labor Day, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving week. Registration is open.
On court we coach movement first — footwork and balance before stroke mechanics, because a shot is only as good as the position that made it.
Little Tennis Stars, Foundation Hour, or the Academy Block for juniors — or the adult ladder, beginner to advanced.

You enroll and pay for our group programs through the City of Laguna Beach, not here. About five minutes, and you do it once.
Rec1 is the City of Laguna Beach's registration system, not ours. On your first visit it asks you to create a sign-on — a name, an email, a password. A couple of minutes, once, and it covers every City program from then on.
Find Laguna Beach Tennis Academy in the catalog, choose your class and how many days a week, and check out. The City takes the money, not LBTA — there is no invoice afterwards and no deposit option.
The City tells us the moment you are in. We confirm your days, your court and your coach before the first session.

Measured August 2026. He is Andrew's son. Worth saying plainly: a child raised by a fourth-generation coach gets far more tennis than any group program provides on its own. His rating shows what the coaching aims at — not what a season of classes promises.
The names above are what the pathway has produced. This is what it looks like in the middle of it.
All at Alta Laguna Park, ages 5–18, grouped by level on the first morning. Full day 9–3, half day 9–12. Camps run in addition to classes, never instead of them.
From three years old up. Little Tennis Stars is thirty minutes for ages 3–4. Foundation Hour is an hour for ages 5–11. Academy Block is two hours for ages 9–18. Those are the only three junior classes — one block per age band, with several groups running inside each one. Adults have New to Tennis (never played), Beginner (under NTRP 3.0), Intermediate (NTRP 3.0–4.0), Advanced (NTRP 4.0+), and three at NTRP 3.0 and above — Sunrise Doubles Lab, Sunrise Tennis & Fitness and Evening Drill & Play. Cardio Tennis is open to all levels. Live Ball is NTRP 3.0 and above on Thursday and at 9:00 on Sunday, and 4.0+ at 10:30 on Sunday.
Every child is placed by a coach who has watched them play, and put with players working on the same things. The ages listed with each class tell you roughly who is on court at that time; they do not decide who your child works with once they are there. A seven-year-old who has played for two years and a ten-year-old just starting are on court at the same hour, in different groups, and both are in the right place.
Small groups. That does not change with how busy we are — when a group reaches its size we open another one, on another court, up to the courts available. Group size varies by class: the top Academy group is the smallest of all. When the courts are full, enrollment moves to a waiting list rather than a bigger group.

Two sites. Alta Laguna Park, 3300 Alta Laguna Blvd, carries the junior classes, every camp, Live Ball, and the USTA team's Saturday home matches. On Saturday morning Foundation Hour and the Academy Block run there side by side from 9:00. Laguna Beach High School, 625 Park Ave, carries the other adult classes — weekdays and Saturday morning — along with Friday's Academy Block. One thing does change mid-season: the Academy Block is at Alta Monday to Thursday through 2 October, then at the high school under the lights from 5 October. The weekly schedule tells you which site each session is at.
Yes. You choose how many days a week when you enroll — Foundation Hour and Academy Block go up to five — and we confirm your days from the ones available. You are not committed to every listed time, only the sessions you choose. Drop-in is open to anyone without a place or a pass, and four-visit passes let you come as you go.
