Head Coach, Junior Development
USPTA & PTR Certified Professional · College Tennis at Mt. San Jacinto · 8+ Years Coaching
Peter DeFrantz grew up on the tennis court. Raised by a father who coached high school tennis, he learned early that the game is about more than strokes — it is about how you carry yourself, how you compete, and how you treat the people around you.
He played college tennis at Mt. San Jacinto College, where the competitive environment and daily training shaped the coach he became. That foundation — combined with dual USPTA and PTR certification — is visible in how he runs a session: structured, intentional, and built around each player's next step.
Over eight years coaching across Southern California, Peter has developed a teaching style that connects with players of every age. He starts simple, builds in layers, and makes the work feel like play. Kids trust him quickly. Adults respect his eye for detail.
At LBTA, Peter coaches junior development, competitive training, adult programs, and seasonal camps. His sessions are challenging and fun — the kind where players don't realize how hard they worked until it's over.
Build the player, not just the game.
